I don’t know whether it is proper to persuade my sister to make a change of her eyeglasses frame because it seems out of date at present. I know that she treasures it very much and protect it with great care because it is a unique gift from her father who died several years ago. The eyeglasses make her miss her father so much. I want to exchange ideas with her but I don’t know the most suitable way to talk with her on that issue. I just want to tell her that she needs to make some changes and does not always live in the past. She can keep the glasses in a case as a way to show her love to her father but she needs to look vigor in public. The glasses she is wearing are too old, which make her look decadent. That is why I think I need to talk to her. I think maybe she does not notice this because she is always giving priority to her work and spends a lot of time thinking about how to make her career succeed. She pays little attention to the decoration of her appearance and totally does not care about the updated information about fashion.
In her point of view, eyeglasses are merely a medical device to make her see those objectives clearly. Her basic requirement is that the glasses can make her lead a normal life. As for the design of glasses, she does not care about that. I sometimes give her suggestions and hope that she can spend time and money enjoying the pleasure of life. I want to see that her life is not full of work. But she only smiles and says that she is content with her current life. I don’t want to give her too much pressure but I want her to make a change of her eyeglasses frame directly.
I know if I talk with her on that point, she must find the excuse to refuse my proposal by saying that she has no time to go for shopping.
